I really have my heart set on au pairing in England, although I am told that the only place I can au pair in is the USA..
Is there a type of visa that will be able to help? (I do qualify to have an ancestry visa, if that helps.) Any au pair website I can try? Any tips?
I was planning on flying to England first (staying with my boyfriends mother) and then looking for an au pair job while there, but can I do that?
I really don't know where to start looking so any advice would be so helpful. :)

No there are no au pair visas so it is not going to happen that way...

If you do qualify for an ancestry visa then you need to apply for that BEFORE you attempt to fly to the UK as a single female from SA coming to visit her bf, immigration is unlikley to allow you entry as you will be seen as a likely overstayer.you need to have the correct visa before you travel.......

There are lots of agencies and many are scams offering all sorts to non EU nationals, to au pair with a good agency you will need an enhanced CRB and experience, qualifications at the minimum

You were told you can't, Au pair visas were abolished in the UK in 2008

Unlikely, but have a read through the first link and then look at the information on the second.
