The AA site has it at 216 miles which will take 3hrs 41 mins.
The closest I've done is Liverpool to Carlisle which takes a similar route and was an easy but shorter drive.You're pretty much straight up the motorway.
If you go to www.theaa.com you can use their route planner.
When I went to Glasgow I flew up ,it's a beautiful city.
