A Verizon Wireless Motorola Droid... will it work? If I make calls to landlines and mobiles? Also will I be able to text?
Also will wi-fi work if there is a nearby wi-fi network? Or will it only work on British devices?
Help!
Thanks!

IF you are coming here for a long time, i would get a pay as you go sim from here as it might be cheaper but if you are texting friends and family or making calls to home then its going to make your phone bill rocket....but wifi, calls and texts all work from foreign phones, its just the price thats the killer
I had a friend from the US stay with me :)

Well it all depends on if you are moving there... or going there on vacation?
Or if you just ordered a phone from the US and you live in England?
There are special plans that you can add on for any amount of time from the phone companies to allow your phone to work almost anywhere in the world, usually they are more expensive though because they use the other companies phone satellites to transfer it to american satellites and what not.
As for wifi I think it would work but I'm not completely sure, as I don't have data packages on my phones.
Hope that helped :)

in general you will be welcomed, but there will be some individuals who will give you a hard time. England is a very diverse country and you will more than likely just blend in. Hope you enjoy your time over here anyway, there is plenty to do and see.

It'll work and function normally, only thing you'll notice is that your bill will be really expensive when you get back.

Don't forget that your carrier may charge you roaming charges.
