I have been offered a job in Hatfield and am currently living in Pimlico. I am wondering is it doable/feasible to travel every day to and from work to Hatfield? From my research, I understand I would have to catch the Underground to Finsbury Park and then change for the National Rail Service and catch the train to Hatfield, which I have seen can take either 16 minutes or 30 minutes depending on what train you catch. I am not originally from London and am not quite sure if this is a dobale job option. I really wouldnt want to commute more than a hour to be honest. If someone could please give me some advice and let me know if its ok, or if it would be a complete nightmare, that would be fab.

that's a pretty quick journey, but it will cost a great deal and be jam-packed crowded all the time. I'm surprised it is that quick.

how far is your place of work from the station? How far is your house from the tube station?

I would say the main issue is cost, and you are really looking at an hour each way depending on the above question, maybe more. In this nutty world this is seen as an easy commute; two hours extra on your working day...

According to the Transport for London website and The Train Line, it takes 20 minutes from Pimlico to King's Cross and then either 21 or 41 minutes from King's Cross to Hatfield. I would say it is an easy commute, especially as everyone will be going in the opposite direction.

This is a very common commuting distance in England, and will be a journey of about 1 hour in total. It will be faster to take the Victoria Line

to Kings Cross and the train from there rather than changing at Finsbury Park. Hatfield is outside

the Oyster/Travelcard zones, so you will require a 'Season Ticket' from London Kings Cross to Hatfield or one from Hatfield to London that includes unlimited travel within the London zones, so that you don't pay an extra for travel within London, when you are not at work

Many hundreds of people travel to Hatfield, St. Albans, Welwyn Garden City and neighbouring towns to work, travelling from deepest London every day..

It's very common to commute from those towns into London to work as well as you'll see from the state of Hatfield station when you get there.

Try St Albans from 7-9am. Can't see the platform for people, thousands every morning trying to squeeze into trains already pretty full from Luton and Bedford.

No room? Oh well, there's another train in a few minutes, with more hundreds of commuters.

Put an advert on the notice board at work. You might get a car share to somewhere close to home, cheaper than the train commute. We had about sixty of them from London working at Rank Zerox in Welwyn Garden City, probably hundreds amongst all the other big firms there.

It's commonly done. Best of luck.

It wouldn't be a bad journey. You take the Victoria Line to Kings Cross or Finsbury Park and change onto the national rail service to Hatfield. It is feasible but probably expensive.

It sounds like it would want to nicely be a sturdy occupation flow, yet "another weekend?" Come on! i imagine she has a level. She is perchance wondering the position she is provided on your priorities. Understandably so. in case you suggested you'll flow see her on Tuesdays and Thursdays, i'd say flow for it. if you're purely prepared to provide her 4 days a month, i imagine perchance she'd be more advantageous off with another guy.
