HMS Gamecock at Bramcote near Nuneaton was transferred to the Army in 1959 and is now the home of the 30th Regiment of The Royal Corps of Signals and is known as Gamecock Barracks. Judging from all the google references I found it was previously a Fleet Air Arm training ship.

I served there from 1959 to 1961 when it was Gamecock Barracks, an army establishment.

The RNVR still used it at that time.

Darren is correct. You can join the forces if you have been symptom free for 4 years but this will be checkde with your GP so if you have had an inhaler are anything in that time there is no way round it. Good luck.
