It says that they charge 65pence when you take the bus as a single fare but they arent charging me at all when i take the bus, Why is that ??

This is because you qualify for free bus and tram travel i.e. you are a student in full time educatoon. The Oyster pay as you go fare only applies to 16-18 year olds who do not qualify for free bus and tram travel i.e. not in full time education.
