Not difficult. Just go back to 1995 and catch the Motorail from Euston.

Why don't you just drive there! It's a beautiful run upto Scotland. and very staight-forward,

From the Midlands M1 or M6, all the way, no problem!

Why not use the roads like everyone else? Motorail hasn't run for maybe 20 years. It's Scotland, not scotland.

Motorail no longer exists. You can take an ordinary passenger train from Birmingham New Street to

any of the major cities in Scotland and then hire a car, from there, arranging to picjk it up at the railway station. The cheapest rail tickets are those booked well in advance for specifically timed trains. Booking opens 11 to 12 weeks before your journey

or visit a station ticket office

Why has some idiot given every one who says there is no Motorail a thumbs down? Perhaps he/she should have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorail_%28British_Rail%29.

Scotland from the Midlands is an easy drive - just use the M6/A (M) 74 to the Borders and Glasgow or M1/A1 to Edinburgh.
