I want to send a letter to a fan mail address in England. I live in Dayton, Ohio and the address I'm going to send the letter to is
James Phelps
c/o JOP Project
PO Box 9765
Sutton Coldfield B75 5XB
UK

It's only going to be a simple piece of paper with my letter written on it inside a regular sized envelope. Im guessing id just need like two stamps. But I don't know. It would have nothing enclosed but the letter, so it's probably only going to weigh like maybe 6 ounces or something. Anybody know how many stamps I need or what I need to do? Please and thank you

You will need to put on three regular stamps. That more than

covers the required 98c.

An international stamp for 1 ounce and under is .98c. An envelope with one sheet inside will not be over an ounce. You could put 3 forever stamps on it, or take it to be weighed and stamped by your local USPS office.

To be on the safe side I would go to the post office.

International mail usually needs more than the regular stamps but an international stamp.

In sending letters to my buddy who's interning in England for the summer season, I write the take care of as: So-and-so The Cottage [of route, if a house # and street call is ideal fairly of creating call, use that] Such-and-such resources Gateshead NE11 0HQ uk And as for my go back take care of: [call] [street take care of] Fayetteville, West Virginia 25840 u . s . Sending mail interior your own united states, it isn't any longer had to characteristic the country field. Mailing the international over, it no longer in person-friendly words is sensible, i imagine it is particularly elementary. major to note in giving your buddy your take care of, in some USPS automatic mailing platforms , "uk" is the country code for the Ukraine, no longer the united kingdom. for that reason, s/he needs to write down out "uk" fairly. also, a common letter (some sheets, it truly is a common letter for me, besides) takes, fairly than the only stamp for equivalent submit interior the U. S., 3 stamps to deliver to England. (nicely, some thing like a dollar and a penny or some thing; 3 stamps receives the interest finished.)
What's the point?

You need to ask the post office IN your own country, as that is where you are sending it FROM.

Just like, you would not know how much a letter would be FROM the UK, to you would be would you!?

Take the letter to the local post office, walk up to the counter and ask: How much would this letter be, going to the UK please?

Easy! :0)
