I'm in Los Angeles. I've made the roundtrip 6 times and never for more than $400. But I'm not confident that I can pull it off for that little presently. I've won bids on Skyauction.com, but it takes a lot of work & positioning. I've found a great airfare on the Internet and was ready to go on a date that was created by the fare. Fuel & 9/11 have blown the bottom out of the great fares, but they are still there. If you are on the East Coast then you should have more opportunity for better fares. Once you get the fare, remember the hotel rates. London is more expensive than New York. Start off with Hotels.com and use a little savvy!

including 9/11 fees and taxes for $453.00 roundtrip. travelocity and Hotwire and all the other sites are around $1100. per person during the time i'm travelling. Watch CheapAirfare.com But you need to get on the site everday when the lowfare prices come up, people grab them fast

Depends on from where you're traveling, when you're leaving, what days of the week you want to be there, and for how long.
