As Southend Airport is to expand and space is limited at Heathrow for further expansion, can Southend take over as the hub airport as part of the Thames Gateway Project in the next 30 years?

I doubt it. Heathrow is far bigger than even an expanded Southend airport.

No. They are two separate airports. Heathrow is the big international airport. City is a small airport located in the Docklands.

No. Heathrow is relatively easy to get to from all parts of the country (that's why it's there). Southend is a pig to get to from most parts of the country.

Southend Airport could be Oostend Airport..Belgium is nearer than London.......

I wish they'd both close ridding us of the dreadful noise and pollution they both cause. Maybe someone can find a cure for the horrific binge flying illness that afflicts the British
