Question:
Will the UK vote for joining the EU?

Throughout history, the United Kingdom has always resisted political and economic unions with the rest of Europe. The UK has resisted back in the time of Napoleon, and the UK has also resisted when Hitler tried to unite all of Europe. In both these times in history the attempted unification of European countries has failed.
Now you got the Euro zone. And I watched an interview on CNN with British PM David Cameron in talking about calling a referendum for Britain on whether or not they will join the Euro zone. This is an issue that must concern all the people of Britain.
I need some clarity on this. When will there be a referendum?
Will the majority of people in the UK vote for the UK to be in the Euro zone, or not?

Your statements are clearly your personal opinion.... ie "Hitler tried to unite Europe" yer right!

The Uk is already in the EU has been since the 70s.......... the Euro is not UK currency and won't become it, it is controlled by the EU, any country that took it prices rose and several countries have gone bankrupt part in main as they have little control on their own finances ( the Euro) so do you really think that the UK would want a currency like that, controlled by another country....... sterling is a much stronger currency.....so the answer to your question is no we will not be jumping into the Eurozone

You've misunderstood the situation. UK is in the EU now, since 1973, but doesn't use the euro currency.

What's being discussed is a referendum on staying in the EU or leaving. If Cameron's party stay in power there'll be one, if the Labour party get elected there won't be, though labour might change their minds if it turns out to be a vote loser..

Even prior to the crisis, the UK public, government and opposition were all against joining the euro currency. All those who were in favour are now quietly very relieved they weren't listened to!

The UK has been a member of the EU for over 40 years.

The Eurozone is a currency union which only 17 of the 27 EU countries have joined.

We will not be joining it any time soon and there is no vote planned.
I should be doing something else

You've got your facts mixed up. The UK is already in the EU.

The interview with David Cameron was discussing the possibility of giving the citizens of the UK a referendum on LEAVING the EU. A referendum I personally cannot wait to see, as I will be emphatically voting in favour of leaving.

The UK already is in the EU, and despite the differences, is likely to stay that way. Will it join the Eurozone? No, the Euro was an experiment that failed.

Your question is misleading. The UK has been an EU member state since 1970, I think. Will the UK adopt the Euro as its currency? Very possibly.

No, 'cos we've already been a member since the 1970's, and we're hoping to win a vote to get out of the damn thing 'cos we're getting completely screwed by being so........
