my daughter is 4 , i would not take her to chessington until shes at least 8, legoland is for smaller children so yeh legoland is much suitable for younger children , no point chessington too dangerous and young!!

I'd say Legoland. Both are great places to take kids but at Chessington you might find your 4 year old too small to go on a lot of the rides that the 10 year old can go on.

If they are both boys Im pretty sure theyd LOVE legoland but if one is a girl then chessington is a great place to go the rides are fantastic!

Chessington I think ,as Legoland has things suitable for the older child and height restrictions on some rides. Zoo is suitable for both children

Chessington is a sometimes difficult to get out of in an evening but from what i remember it's cheaper, less difficult to get to, you dont have to park miles away from the acutal park and maybe not quite as busy.
Saying that, Legoleand is a bit more diverse so it really depends on who is going and the ages !
Try them both !

Legoland.
Though I haven't been there personally, my friends (as parents) also found the stuff there inspirational when they first visited there months ago.
Regarding the World of Chessington, I'll prefer to save the money for your children to visit Alton Towers in the future (when they reach 12) instead.
