Where to go on holiday with best friend?

Hi, me and my best friend want to go on holiday in the summer but have no idea where to go😹
So we want to go to a place with like a 2 hour/1 and a half hour journey. We want to go somewhere with a beach and lots of shops!! We live in England. We don't want to go to a cold country.

I suggest you open a map and use a bit of common sense. You can't drive somewhere 'not cold' from England in 2 hours or less. You can't even leave Britain in that time, unless you live right next to the Channel Tunnel.



There are plenty of lovely places to go on holiday in the UK, but as you know, the weather can't be guaranteed even in summer. If you want guaranteed sun, you either have to fly or be alright with driving for 12 hours or more (to get to the south of France, for instance).

There is a world of difference as regards a car journey of 2 hours depending upon whether you live in, for example, Penzance or Berwick-on-Tweed or somewhere in between.
