Hi!

We go to Cornwall at least once a year.

We rent an apartment.

Go to:

www.carbisbayholidays.co.uk.

Click on 'Logans Court' - top left.

Go to bottom left and click on middle property - The Penthouse.

This will take you to the pages for the apartment. It has EVERYTHING you would ever need for your holidays. It's very peaceful and private. There's ample off road parking.

I do know that if the apartment isn't booked up within a week or so of you wanting to go, you can get a price reduction from the prices shown on the site.

Plus the bus stops at the end of the road and you can go to St Ives or Penzance from there.

Hope this helps!

Newqauy zoo is an strategies-blowing holiday and isn't too remote from St Ives. The aquarium there is likewise very astounding. Lands end is incredibly worth a visit, in ordinary terms for the view additionally. there's a spectacular eating places in Newquay, yet regrettably i will't remeber what it incredibly is stated as, precise on the outskirts of Newquay, to the left of the city cetre in case you're dealing with the sea. i'll replace this if I remeber what it incredibly is stated as. Oh, and likewise, a boat holiday to seal island is great, back this is going from Newqauy even though it is not a variety of of a stress from St Ives. wish you have an exquisite holiday. ( i admire Cornwall, wish i became into there now)

I would advise against the car. St. Ives is a tiny and crowded town, and jampacked with visitors. In summer, the railways used to run extra shuttle trains from Lelant, a few miles away (where there was ample parking space) for day visitors. Just go by train, take the bicycle if you like, but forget the car! Take a direct train to Penzance, and then change to the local train for St. Ives.

Search the internet for small hotels & guesthouses, or even privately-rented flats etc. Offer to pay the owner cash for a good deal. If more than one of you are going, it will be cheaper to drive than take the train. Consider taking cycles, so you can get around without paying for petrol, and avoid queuing for (and paying for) parking spaces. If you don't have a car, there are some low-cost hire companys that have older vehicles.

Make a packed lunch now & again.

Have a good time.

There is a holiday site called The John Fowler resort situated in Lelant just outside St.Ives. Accomodation is very basic and the price reflects that.
