I am from Australia and I am planning a holiday to Cornwall but I am unsure which would be the best part for me to visit!
I love the coast so i want to go somewhere where there is a beautiful dramatic coastline and beaches
I am also interested in old historical sites and fun activities.
Local markets would be great as well.
I am super excited about my trip and cant wait, if i love it there I just might want to move there :)
Thank you so much for your help our insight is much apreciated

The Lands End or Lizard areas are the nicest.Sennen right near lands end has beautiful coastal scenery.Coverack as mentioned is very nice,Lizard village itself isnt great but the coastal scenery is.st ives is nice but VERY crowded in summer and a bit commercialised nowadays.

Penzance isnt a bad place to base yourself in as it has transport links all over the area, though penzance itself has had better days.

Plenty of old historical sites in the Lands End area such as the merry Maidens near Lamorna.

if you choose to live there, rents are high as is unemployment.Thats the drawbacks of cornwall.

but trust me you will love it

Cornwall is beautiful.Start on the North Cornish coast at Bude and follow the coast road all the way down to St Ives right down the bottom and you'll pass through places like Crackington Haven Port Isaac where the TV series "Doc Martin" is filmed,Padstow-Newquay the surfers paradise.Perranporth St Agnes,Porthtowan.Portreathand Hayle then St Ives.Across the bottom is wild rough terrain at Zennor,Sennen Cove and Lands End until you come around to the calmer South of the county with places like Mousehole.Penzance,Helston and around the Lizard peninsular with it's fishing villages. Then to Falmouth a busy port and then up to Truro the capital of the county.Take the King Harry ferry across to the Roseland Penninsular and visit St Mawes and the many beaches around the Roseland. Then on to St Austell and to Mevagissey a pretty fishing harbour.Further up towards Devon are Fowey,Polperro and Looe. The great thing about Cornwall is that the coast road often runs along the cliffs and the views are spectacular. There are places like The Eden Project,Trellisick Gardens and many more tourist attractions dotted all around. It is a beautiful county

St Ives

Then there is

Roseland

For history

Lanyon Quoit on The Land's End peninsula

For fun activities

Coverack on the Lizard peninsula was mentioned above and it is a special place with cracking beach and harbour and free parking on the end! Here is a link to some photos to give you a better idea:

I love how Frankie said Coverack. That's where I stay and have family in that area. Coverack or anywhere else on the Lizard Peninsula is your best bet!
