My husband & I are planning to move to Scotland. We have a 4 year plan. He is in the process of getting his dual citizenship, his father was born there (my husband is the first generation in his family that was born here in the USA). We will be moving around Glasgow-ish area. I was wondering if anyone had info, tips & check lists to help? Any help would be wonderful. What jobs/careers are booming there? My husband has a job in the works. It would be for me & I am willing to go to school before we move. Thank you

You might not be able to move for years.

Once he's a citizen, he can obviously move, and then he can apply for a spouse visa for you. He'll need to prove he is earning over £18,600 a year. Only after that's granted can you move to the UK and work.

You need a spousal visa to move to the UK and your husband will have to prove he can support you financially IF /when he gets his UK citizenship, so will need to be working and earning before you could come http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/
