i have a box weighing approx. 15 lbs and i need to send it to England from Alabama in the USA. Can anyone recommend a company or method to send this package that will not cost the amount of a compact used car to send it?

please help if you can.

Post it... but seriously, I get where you're coming from... sometimes it's cheaper getting on a plane and taking it yourself!

But I'm not sure..sorry.

I'm shipping from Texas to England here soon. The cheapest I've found is the USPS. UPS and FedEx are ridiculously expensive (upward of $100 for a 2lbs package for me). USPS is much cheaper ($30 for me), but I would say the assurance of it arriving safely and within a reasonable amount of time is much lower than with the previously mentioned companies.

The Post Office. Take it to one to have it weighed and have a customs form attached. Pack it so that it can easily be opened and re-packed by Customs. Depending on what is in the parcel, customs duty may be due from the recipient in the U.K.
