I have two kids aged 25 months and 15 months and a husband that works away a lot. I want to get my driving license as I stay out in the sticks but struggle to organise babysitters as my family stay 30 miles away, all my sisters have babies so bit tricky for them to look after 3, and my mum works full time and doesnt drive, and on her two days off looks after my daughters while I work. Test dates up here (Aberdeen,Scotland) generally have to be booked about 8 weeks in advance and my mum has to book holidays around functions etc at her work so I dont usually get much notice. My plan is to do an intensive course when my mum is on holiday but seems very difficult to organise everything. Hubby is service and never knows when home or away and doesnt understand its not easy to get a driving instructor you can phone at short notice for lessons, and then cancel when hubbys work send him away. Any advice? Anywhere with shorter test bookings?

Try your yellow pages, or ask at any driving school....

look in the yellow pages there will be some schools who do intensive driving, but could you not take a holiday from your job and do your driving in them 2 days while your mam is watching the children as she would if you were at work to start you off, you'll get a lot of driving done in 2 days and then when your building up towards your test could you not fit some lessons in an hour before you start work if your mam was willing to come a bit earlier or after work if she would stay later. goodluck

I performed one and had my attempt on the 2d week ( had to persist with for a cancellation) and surpassed. i think of it relies upon on the guy, in the experience that your 've by no ability had a lesson or pushed a automobile earlier it may be tricky going to take each thing in. on the different hand some human beings have training and checks ( which they fail) over a count number of years . i'd say in case you sense your waiting for it, then decide for it.
