I would to visit Guildford for a day trip, what ideas could people provide me when I arrive at the area's main train station? This would include musuems, gallaries, attractions and so on.

On the outskirts of town the cathedral might be of interest. It's fairly new, built in the 1950's, so it doesn't look like most cathedrals.

Take a stroll along the river past the Yvonne Arnuad Theatre, there are a couple of nice restaurants in the area as well.

Visit the castle. It's at the top of the High Street on the right.

Not much in Guilford, London. There's the leisure centre, which is pretty good. It's got a swimming pool, and I think it might have an Ice Skating rink.
